Membership Ambassador Program

SHM empowers hospitalists to advance care, build community, and create opportunity, and provides the only professional home dedicated solely to hospital medicine.

As a member of SHM, you are an integral part of our organization and help us positively impact the practice of hospital medicine. We are encouraging you to bring your friends and colleagues to join the SHM family so they can receive the valuable member benefits you already enjoy and you can receive discounts on your next membership renewal.

The more colleagues you refer the steeper your discount for your next year of membership. Please see the tiers below: 

The SHM Ambassador Program will run March 2025 through February 28, 2026. Please see the rules in order to obtain your discounted 2026 membership for your participation. 

• Referring members must complete a form for each referred member to receive an award. If there isn't a form submitted, there won't be a reward.
  
  
• Member must join as a Physician (PHYS), Allied Health (ALLH), Affiliate (AFFL), Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NPPA), or a Practice Administrator (PR_ADM) within 90 days of receiving the invite for the referring member to receive credit.
  
  
• Ambassador rewards are good only on one-year memberships.
  
  
• The discount will be automatically applied to the next year's membership.
  
  
• The Ambassador Program discount can't be combined with any other discounts.
  
  
• If multiple members refer the same person, the discount goes to the member who referred FIRST as verified by the Jotform time-stamp
• We are unable to apply the discount to membership invoices that have already been paid.
